Odysseus because of his bravery and strength in fighting against the enemy and the love of his country. Despite of many obstacles, he still have the courage to go home even if there's nothing left to him. Even if there's a lot of temptation but still the love for his wife prevail.
For me it is Menelaus,because Menelaus himself will do anything for his wife,Helen and for power without thinking of others sake.He only thinks of his own.For him "what Menelaus wants,Menelaus gets".He will have anything he wants even if it will cost a lot of lives.
Maglacion, M.M. MWF 5-6 I would probably choose Achilles. In the movie Troy I had really appreciated his character because of his bravery, strength and principles.Moreover, he is a good antagonist of Hector at the end because of what he had done unto the latter's corpse. The other antagonist which also catch my attention was Poseidon in "The Odyssey", he may be so bad to Odysseus but at the end of the story I think he really did help Odysseus to be a better person through the adventure which he took part of...
for me, it is hector. It is because of his love for Troy.He really sacrifice his life just to defend his country.. and he really leave his family just for his country...I really admire his bravery...
an interesting male antagonist for me would be achilles in the epic story illiad. Because for me he has an attitude that amazes me. He has his own principle and is not afraid of anything not even death or even struck dead by gods.. a fearless warrior with great skills and wise fighter.
The most interesting antagonist character for me is Menelaus. His willingness to bring Helen back home made him more cruel and at the same time desperate which adds color to his character. Its a a happiness seeing your foe defeated, crawl,and kiss the ground.The tears he shed is equal to the revenge he made.
Menelaus is the most interesting epic character as antagonist because I can't imagine the feeling of a husband leave by his wife for other guy.Menelaus will do anything for his wife even if it leads for a big war that causes his death.
For me its Achilles, because achilles is a brave man. He has no fear to anything, even the Gods or goddesses. He is really a brave man, with a strong personality.
I really adore Hector in the epic,in the sense that he showed me the true meaning of patriotism even it cost him a lot of pain from the time he an his wife (Andromache) and his son depart, till he fought for his life,his dignity,honor,pride and love for his country.
Turnus,the ruler of the Rutulians in Italy is consider as my interesting male antagonist specially to Aeneas.Not just because they are rival as Lavinia's suitor but because he die as a capable soldier who values his honor over his life.
The interesting male epic antagonist for me is Poseidon,because he is very powerful that he can just easily kill Ulysses but he didn't for he just want him to suffer under his power.And although he was very angry with Ulysses he also want him to get back to his loved ones...he just want Ulysses to realize that without him he cant defeat the Trojans.
I consider Odysseus as the most interesting male epic antagonist because he had showed bravery despite from all the obstacles he had faced. In like manner, he also shows great love and loayalty to his country as well. Thou, he committed lapses, still, his love for his wife matters to him.
What Menelaus had done interests me a lot, he did everything for the sake of having his wife back even it would result to a big battle. This reminds us that love conquers all and that he did not just show to everyone how powerful he is but he shows his eagerness to win back his wife.
I chose Agamemnon to be the antagonist in the epic "Iliad" because of his thirst for power, his greediness, and he wants everything to fall unto his hands. He betrayed almost everyone even his own brother Menelaus.
For me I choose Achilles as the most interesting male epic antaginist it's because of his bravery. He is not afraid in all the battles he encountered and he doesnt think that he would be killed. And also he is a good antagonist character.
The most interesting male epic antagonist for me is King Priam of Troy, bacause he begs Achilles to pity him, saying "I have endured what no one on earth has ever done before — I put my lips to the hands of the man who killed my son". He tearfully pleads with Achilles to take pity on a father bereft of his son and return Hector’s body.
The most interesting male epic antagonist for me is Odysseus because he had so many adventures that tested his bravery. He had overcome the obstacles that Poseidon plotted against him.Though the fact that he had not been faithful to Penelope, still he had done everything he could to go home to his wife and son.I was amazed with his character because if it might have been anybody else, he must have lose hope of returning home.
Of all the antagonist characters, my interest is with Poseidon because he's very powerful. Actually, what he did was not really something bad. He was only after of punishing Odysseus because of his conceitedness. He was also a great help for Odysseus, for him to realized of what he had said and acted which made Poseidon hate about him.
My most interested male antagonist is Odysseus in the movie, Troy. He is so smart and possesses different kinds of ideas and skills that the others dont have. I adore him because he can manage the problem very well and can find best solutions that is very applicable for everything. In that case, I may say that if all our enemies are like him, there is difficulty among of us to win in every battle. I may also conclude that in handling conflicts, we will not depend on our strength. Above all we need our brain, the source of knowledge for everything.
For me, the most interesting male epic antagonist is Achilles for the reason that, though he is not that really bad, still he was overshadowed by the skill he has, and fight only for his glory and fame as well.
Based on Illad, for me it's Paris because of his love to Helen the known undeafeated city of troy fell easily by their enemies. He is the reason behind the fall of his own beloved city.
For me it is Achilles who is the most interesting male epic antagonist. Because we all knew that he is one of those leaders who wants the decline of troy and conquer it's land. And although he is eager to defeat his opponents, he wanted also them to be prepared for their battle and to have a fair fight. Then one thing is when he has a chance to kill one of the prince of troy-Hector. He then gets off his pride and allow Hector to go home and informed his comrades about the war for them to be prepared.
Menelaus was more interesting for me because he launched a thousand ships for his pretty wife. He even tried his hard and involved his strength though he died just for he wanted Helen so much.
The most interesting male epic antagonist for me was Achilles ,I choose him because he was the greatest Greek warriors in the Trojan war, and I'm amazed of Achilles character of being the bravest warrior in Greece likewise a good leader and the most kind person. Warned that they could not conquer troy without the aid of Achilles.
As I watched the movie odyssey I considered Odysseus as the most interesting male antagonist because he is really strong and patient especially when he was far away from his family for many years and even though there are lots of temptation that he encountered still he doesn't lose hope that he could go home soon to his family . And for fighting all the obstacles that he experience as he walk on his journey .

SOTELO, R.C MWF 5-6 I think Agamemnon was the most interesting male epic antagonist. Because between the war of Trojan and Spartan, Agamemnon headed and commanded the thousands of Spartan army to eagerly conquer the territory of troy. And he also do everything just to win the battle against the troy which was ones a greatest allay and well progressed empire during their time. And it made me interested to him because of his plenty winning battle that he have done just to conquer an empire which he did well to widen his colony as a king.
For me was Achilles as antagonist of Hector because I hated him how he killed Hector but although it was a vengeance for his best friend i still see that he is good on the other side when King Priam asked the body of Hector it made me believe that bad people will always have the chance to change and there is still part of them good.
Menelaus had done fascinate me a lot, he did the best he can for the sake of having his wife back even it would result to a worst fight. thus,it reminds that love really conquers all.because he shows not only his braveness to fight in the battle but the determination to get his wife back is what he think to be the right thing to do that he can give to himself.

For me, that would be Achilles, not only he was totally attached to his principles but he was so willing to fight for his love ones and he fight's for what he thinks is right, he thinks before he does stuff. He is the only antagonist in Troy that knows how to use his brain and heart. He is a perfect leader, hero and enemy.
I can consider, “Achilles" of Sparta as a male antagonist towards Hector, in the epic Troy, because his character catch up my attention. Being a man of strength, and having his own choices in his life, and no fear to anyone and anything.
nanta,ag mwf 8-9 For me, I chose Poseidon who is the god of sea and the mortaal enemy of Odysseus. He is the cause thast Odyssejus got lost in the sea and can never return to ithaca. Even he hated Odysseus, he never killed him by his hand even he has the power to do so.
The most interesting male epic antagonist is Achilles. In the movie of Troy, as I observed, Achilles is the who caught my attention. Because of his bravery and courage to win and also he is an immortal. Despite of being a Spartan, he still choose to love a girl from Troy which is there mortal enemy.He didn't think of who is that girl he loved. And he even tried to save the one that he loved even if he was killed by Paris which is a relative of Bresias.
For me,I have two options these are Achilles and Hector.But I'll choose Hector as my first.For I see that he fought not for his own glory and fame but for the happiness of his brother Paris. Even though he will sacrifice his life and happiness with his own family.

It's because I really admire his bravery, he did his best to revenge for the death of his best friend. Because of his angerness and bravery he does'nt even care if he will went to the palace of troy and shot by the best archirer in troy. All he wanted is to revenge and to have a single battle with Hector. He shouted and shouted until hector came out. At the end of the battle he conquer and killed Hector. Justice was achieve by winning the battle.
for me,Menelaus..i think he is not that bad person as what we have seen in the movie 'iliad'. Menelaus is just fighting for what has taken to him by Paris which is Helen..he is willing to risk his life just to get back of what he thinks is his property and that is no other tan the most beautiful woman, Helen..
The most interesting male epic antagonist is Posiedon, because he is the one who made Odysseus suffer and faced with seemingly insurmountable obstacles, he is the one reason why Odysseus took another ten years to finally reach home. Poseidon is a kind of antagonist that really want to see his enemy suffer very much, he have a lot and lot of tricks that made odysseys strange to other places that faces danger and obstacle. And it is really exciting and challenging for those people who have a capacity to overcome this through the use of force as will as brains as Odysseus did.
Paris is the most interesting male epic antagonist for me because he is a traitor.He is the concubine of Helen.He also do everything just to get Helen away from Menelaus.

I think the most interesting antagonist is the character of Achilles in the epic story of “Iliad” by Homer for I have heard that he is believed to be a bit cruel in his own way. He is very much demanding to the people who ask him favors. But although with this kind of character, He learns how to love someone even not so faithful enough to be forever true with Chryseis and even his beloved friend, Patroclus, who by his nature of cruelity had such capacity to love with the outmost of his character. And so I have realized that even a cruel and bitter heart has the will to love and when he loves, and of course, gives importance to that especial someone, He will do everything for that person even it takes he will do the most cruel thing a human could do.
For me its Achilleus, I know that achilleus was the protagonist of the Illiad but I can say that he was the antagonist because he was the antagonist of the Trojans and he was so selfish, he want to revenge Patroklus which is his personal motivation, He kills merciless amd indiscriminately. he is not only slays opponent but runs away as from trouble when he kills hector . Achilleus pittiless treatment of Hectors body tells his separation to his group. In the Odysseus, Antinoos was the most interesting antagonist, he was proposing together with the other suitors to Penelope that still waiting and grieving to her husband. He dont show any respect to telemachus and to the beggars. Hewas unfortunate man.

Dulce Amor r. Acosta MWF 8-9 I usually her the line that says,"in every man's failure there's a woman behind." No wonder why Turnus issues a challenge to Aeneas for a single combat,the victor to receive Lavinia's hand, even if he is fated to lost. For me, Turnus, king of Rutuli in the epic The Aeneid by Virgil, is the most interesting male antagonist. It's because I was impressed by his true and warm affection to Lavinia, determined even to risk his life for her. Also, for me he is a great fighter, styled as the new Achilles to fight the Trojans and was helped by Juno, Queen of gods, that in his battles there were also times that he succeeded. Though he died in vain by Aeneas but at least he was able to killed Pallas, also a great fighter, and able to wore Palla's belt as a trophy.
For me, it’s Achilles, from the story of his heel, to his love life, his best friend and how he was touched by heart by King Priam whom the father of Hector which he killed, for Hector mishap killed his best friend Patroclus. Sad, isn’t it? But everything is so interesting! How he was killed by Paris, the brother of Hector. His life has ended saving his girl and of course, in everything he does, his heart always prevails. That makes him interesting.
for me, it was poseidon. why? its because he is the one who made odysseus journey misserable. he is the hinder why the voyage of odysseus last for almost 10 years. he doesnt want odysseus went home to saw his family because he is very angry to odysseus.

King Priam, because he is a very good kind of father not only to Hector but most specially to Paris. Even though Paris had done something that would destroy the whole Troy but still he love his son.

That is because of his unmatched strength and capability exemplified by most of the results in wars he fought. Besides he was controversial from the time of his conception up to his birth and even until his death. Before he came to life it was already predicted that he will outrun the greatness of who ever will his father be; he was dipped into the river Styx by his mother for him to be immortal; he fought for no one but only for himself; he was entangled with series of love affairs and was rumored that Patroclus was one of his lover; he was somewhat homosexual for he was attracted with Polyxena’s brother, Troilus the youngest among Priam and Hecuba’s five legitimate sons; his personality was despicable yet here was an instance that he was sympathetic, when he gave Hector’s body back to Priam for proper burial. Sympathy from a known warrior of cruelty, brutality and sometimes selfishness was impossible to imagine but he felt it, he acted it. With this, his image of being tough goes with smoothness inside. What makes him more interesting for me was his capability to stand to whatever he believe, knows no bounds and does not follow order from anyone other than his own; he does his orders.
For me, its Achilles. Achilles that is quick-tempered remains strong, courteous and compassionate at heart despite of the anger he felt particularly in the time when Patroclus was killed.

Benito, A.P. MWF 2-3pm The male character antagonist that interests me most is god Poseidon(from The Odyssey). His being antagonist in the epic was more on for the sake of the main character(Odysseus), and for him to learn a lesson.. That's the thing that really made me fond about him.. One cannot really distinguish whether he was a partly protagonist or a genuine antagonist.
I choose Odysseus, because for me no can defeat his courage in solving problems and trials as what had Poseidon had given to him. He never gives up. So two thumbs up for him.

He was the responsible of the wrath of the king and that's why Trojan War started. If he let Helen be with her husband, then the problem will not arrise. He is interesting in the fact that he was that courageous to stole wife, the queen of the other kingdom.

for me the interesting male epic was odysseus, it is because of his determination to come home although he was been cruise by a god, he never loss hope to come home
For me, Achilles of Iliad is the most interesting male epic antagonist. Achilles is indeed a fearless warrior and brave person. He does things firmly based on his own principles.

The male antagonist who took my attention was Hector of Troy, in the movie Troy. First, he valued his brother's life when Menelaus tried to kill Paris along their fight in front of Troy's Castle . Second, he gave his life protecting the people of Troy. Lastly, he was a brave father to Astyanax and a good and faithful husband to Andromache.

Also, for me he is a great fighter, styled as the new Achilles to fight the Trojans and was helped by Juno, Queen of gods, that in his battles there were also times that he succeeded. Though he died in vain by Aeneas but at least he was able to killed Pallas, also a great fighter, and able to wore Palla's belt as a trophy.

For me, it’s Achilles, from the story of his heel, to his love life, his best friend and how he was touched by heart by King Priam whom the father of Hector which he killed, for Hector mishap killed his best friend Patroclus. Sad, isn’t it? But everything is so interesting! How he was killed by Paris, the brother of Hector. His life has ended saving his girl and of course, in everything he does, his heart always prevails. That makes him interesting.

The most interesting male epic antagonist for me is Achilles.
That is because of his unmatched strength and capability exemplified by most of the results in wars he fought. Besides he was controversial from the time of his conception up to his birth and even until his death. Before he came to life it was already predicted that he will outrun the greatness of who ever will his father be; he was dipped into the river Styx by his mother for him to be immortal; he fought for no one but only for himself; he was entangled with series of love affairs and was rumored that Patroclus was one of his lover; he was somewhat homosexual for he was attracted with Polyxena’s brother, Troilus the youngest among Priam and Hecuba’s five legitimate sons; his personality was despicable yet here was an instance that he was sympathetic, when he gave Hector’s body back to Priam for proper burial. Sympathy from a known warrior of cruelty, brutality and sometimes selfishness was impossible to imagine but he felt it, he acted it. With this, his image of being tough goes with smoothness inside. What makes him more interesting for me was his capability to stand to whatever he believe, knows no bounds and does not follow order from anyone other than his own; he does his orders.

His being antagonist in the epic was more on for the sake of the main character(Odysseus), and for him to learn a lesson.. That's the thing that really made me fond about him.. For me, the most interesting male antagonist is Paris of Troy. Basically, he stole Helen, the wife of king Menelaus of Sparta. He was the responsible of the wrath of the king and that's why Trojan War started. If he let Helen be with her husband, then the problem will not arrise. He is interesting in the fact that he was that courageous to stole wife, the queen of the other kingdom.

oh i always adore Achilles. well men who were strong,with superior skills among other men, with looks plus with more than noble origin is really breath taking.so u cant blame me if i want to know more about him.(grin)he appears interesting because he is so different in temperament and in making decision. Achilles often described as fair, handsome and tall. aside from that he was also a good leader to Myrmidons that whenever they come across with him they were awed by his presence.
