Essay 8 (Phil Lit)
The poem Dupluhan tackles about slavery and corruption among other things, do you think the Philippines is still a slave up this moment? How or Why?

Yes ,I still believe that Philippines is slave and corrupt until now. Although we have that freedom, but the reality we are still captive in our own country, for some reasons. Corruption is very rampant ,we have all the resources to convert but because of misguided by the government, even our official are the ones,. In terms of slavery we are still captive, terrorism is anywhere. For me its time for us to help each other, rather than blaming each other's fault.
yes, our country today is still corrut and we are one of the top most corrupt asian country in the world. YGOT JOCELYN MWF 2-3 Yes! I do believe that the Philippines is still a slave and its obvious that it is corrupt ,just like the information about the Ampatuans in Maguindanao.They have lots of properties despite of the fact that Maguindanao is one of the poorest province here in the Philippines.
At this moment,Philippines is still a slave and corrupt, that is why we are one of the poor country in ASIA.And we dont when we will be our economy progress.
Considering that the Philippines is one the poorest and still a developing country. Philippine is not standing on its own feet because it still depend to other country by borrowing such big amount of money. Our government oficials are the ones who leads the corruption.
Yes,becaus in every news I heard corruption is the headline which is the main problem of our society.Many government officials become a slave of money.This is the reason why Philippines never progress and become rne 2nd poorest country in Asia and still belong in the 3rd world.
Yes. Philippines is still in slavery. Many of us Filipinos is going to other country just to earn money. Not all Filipinos abroad are professionals, most of them are domestic helpers who works to other people and we can also consider the professionals who is working abroad as slaves because they are not working for our country.
Yes the Philippines still a slave and one of the most corrupt countries in the world. The Philippine could not stand alone because it has billions of depth. We are dependent to other country because we don’t have money to stand alone.
Yes, Even if we already acquired our own freedom still we are under control of the powerful countries. Because their controlling us and the hard thing there is that we let them control us, and the fact there that we cant escape is that we cant survive without their help.

Not anymore!!! Though our nation suffers from great crisis, we are still free from other countries. We Filipinos must claim that we are free because we had democracy in our nation, we are not captives anymore from the countries who colonized us.
Yes, Philippines still slave and corrupt until now. This is the big problem of our country now a days, Because of we practice corrupting start at home and it apply in the government thats why our country never improve and many debts.
