Griselda is a weak woman it is because she follows everything what his husband ask her. It is because she thinks that she is of low profile individual, she cant do anything against her husband's will. Even if her children were about to be killed, she don't still have a violent reactions and its not a normal reaction of a loving mother. Griselda still love her husband.

Through these and other trials, Griselda maintains her patience and devotion, and finally he relents; Griselda is returned to her home and children, winning everyone’s admiration, so, for me she is indeed a strong woman of her time...
I strongly disagree because as what I have known of her she is a very patient woman. though I consider her a martyr type(well she can really do nothing back in those days) but what I think of her is that she is a very submitted wife to her husband but still I think I like her.... ;-)
Yes, shes been weak and aside from that is martyr. She never even fought . As a woman she never deserves to be abused physically and emotionally. She deserves someone better I bet. I think its not love to Gualtieri anymore but letting herself burned in an her own fire.

For me not totally yes if we would consider the tradition Griselda had at that time.She is weak because of her being martyr maybe sometimes we could not avoid this phenomena,base on my experience i its my first time to have a "BF" and yet i allow him to have another we are two at a time but I'm the first to give up it's hard really.Therefore I would say it depends upon,and I will never let it happen again.

To me being a mother is not an easy task, you're always carrying the responsibilities that should be rendered toward you're siblings. I cannot say that Griselda is a weak character. Because as I observed, she didn’t even complain of what Gualtieri did to her and still lived with Gualtieri. She just followed of what they had agreed before their wedding. If she’s weak, she cannot stay for that long under Gualtieri.

Yes, at some point of her acts of submissiveness to get the approval of the authority and of the society. But, then I ask myself if the word submissive easier said than done. If we look back to Griselda’s story, being submissive to someone undoubtedly deliberate hurt and fools her, is only showing us that submissiveness is indeed a painstaking role to take. I, judging her as a weak character, would likely make me an unfair critic. It would be unfair to her part, neglecting her strength in bracing herself towards the testing of her faith and love to the king. If I would be in her part, I would probably choose the deviant way in fighting the challenges rather than to submit such insensitive king, testing his wife with cruelty. The king is lucky. He is loved by a faithful, honest and forgiving wife.

In the story, her husband gives a cruel tests that puts her through to "prove" her love and verbally abuses here but she is still living to her husband and not even thinking that she will leave her family and children and not even thinking about vengeance. There's a line in the story that says "and everyone marveled at how obedient and patient Griselda has been, and how there must be none other like her," so for me, i can't consider Griselda as a weak woman. Also because, I understand Griselda's belief about the bade of King Gualterio. Her belief that what her husband did to her and her family are for the best purpose, for the kingdom and for the people.But I'm highly opposed to King Gualterio's plan, to test Griselda's love to him. Also, because Griselda's patience, obedience, and virtue in the ordeals of her life, for me it shows that a strong character could surmounted the life's difficulties.

To sacrifice her children even if it would lead them to their deaths; being deserted by her husband for the reason of her being poor and a nobody to their society; titled worthless and worst, replacing her by marrying a woman whom his husband referred ‘the more appropriate’. These were some of the hurdles Griselda overcome, the hurdles that cannot be coped by any other woman. To the situation weakness shall be seen if Griselda has opposed to every unfavorable conditions she was tasked to do but she has done the opposite. What made her tough were her humbleness; pure kindness; love and faith to her husband.

Yes, at some point of her acts of submissiveness to get the approval of the authority and of the society. But, then I ask myself if the word submissive easier said than done. If we look back to Griselda’s story, being submissive to someone undoubtedly deliberate hurt and fools her, is only showing us that submissiveness is indeed a painstaking role to take. I, judging her as a weak character, would likely make me an unfair critic. It would be unfair to her part, neglecting her strength in bracing herself towards the testing of her faith and love to the king. If I would be in her part, I would probably choose the deviant way in fighting the challenges rather than to submit such insensitive king, testing his wife with cruelty. The king is lucky. There's a line in the story that says "and everyone marveled at how obedient and patient Griselda has been, and how there must be none other like her," so for me, i can't consider Griselda as a weak woman. Also because, I understand Griselda's belief about the bade of King Gualterio. Her belief that what her husband did to her and her family are for the best purpose, for the kingdom and for the people.But I'm highly opposed to King Gualterio's plan, to test Griselda's love to him. Also, because Griselda's patience, obedience, and virtue in the ordeals of her life, for me it shows that a strong character could surmounted the life's difficulties.
