I Like you.

As I am having a hard time today finishing an essay, I thought I should try hand a bit into what we call irony. J It has to go through a lot of critiquing yet and who knows, one day it’ll find its way to a book. Dreams always come true.

I like you.

I like you a lot….
You go to church every Sunday and are always pleasing to everyone you meet.
I like how religiously and honestly you go to church and take note of the deficiency of people around you.  I like you better after the service when you make fun of these dishonest people.
I like you because you please people but more because you stab them in their back after.
I like you because you appear clean and kind. And when the person leaves, you mock them with your mimicry.
I like you because you are polite and tactful. I like you most because you wait for the person to leave before you discuss his weakness.
I like you, everyday. As I wish everyday more dishonest and less tactful people could grow, so honest and clean people like you could go.

And I like you more because you remind me that hell is indeed just around the corner and not in the midst of people as good and as clean as you.

After this post, i hope id be able to finish the activity i am preparing for my mythology class. And later, my poetry class. Thanks for reading.

1.) Since the poem is clearly symbolic and functional, I think the firelight simply means a "light" which represents as guidance or supervision when its dark.I can relate it as our Faith.
Yes, the light which is supposed to be the guidance is dying because the persona choses to neglect it without minding its own consequence.
2.) Senses activated in reading the poem were:
First is Tactile, this is when the man feel the nails of the girl.
Second is Visual,I can visualize the desciption of the place (creepy as I imagined) and when the persona describe the girl in his tight jeans.
Third is Auditory, when their love-making is interrupted by a noise.
I think these senses makes a creative way to relate things which is symbolically different.
3.) Maybe the presence of the great black does not only mean as a disturbance in the love-scene of the lovers, I think it represents as a conscience which reminds them that there's a judgement in all wrong doings. The man is aware of their sinful act but chooses to neglect it and tasted those fleeting happiness.

1. In my own opinion firelight symbolize light means even you are in a wrong way one day you will see a light that make you realize that their is a millions of chances to take in this world.

2. sense of touch for the lines "She rubs against me and I feel her nails."

sense of hearing for the lines "And then the noise. Something is dropped. It grates against the attic beams.I climb the stairs armed with a belt.

sense of sight for the lines this dark, this cabin of loose imaginings, Wind, lip, lake, everything awaits.

3. The great black presence in the poem represent disturbance means the great black disturb the love making of the lover by the noise.
