The Mysterious Springs of Bangcud
Spring is the water that came from the nature and surrounded by the trees that make the places attractive. Having a peaceful and a cold breeze of the water that make your mind relax. It also have the natural beauty that everyone love to visit and had a picnic there. It’s a highly known spring and one of it become a tourist attraction. The “Nasuli Spring” and the “Matin-ao Spring” that only few knows the mysterious story behind of it.
The MATIN- AO SPRING that one of most visited spring in town during weekend, celebration, fiesta and holidays. It’s located at Purok 6 Bangcud, Malaybalay City. The said spring have a captive appearance that everyone loves to visit. The coldness combine by trees and water. But behind of its wonderful surrounding it is the story that everyone don’t believe it. This spring is most surrounded by the tree that known as “Balete”. This tree according to the old people living in the place for a long year are there are not likes us living inside the tree. They called them as Goddess that are getting the life of the people having fun or disturbed his silent in places or by giving them illness. Some are by mysterious happening that are unexpected to happen. A lot of people died in unknown reason and unrecognized death. Most people died are in 12 o’clock or at 6 o’ clock in the afternoon or at night. One of the story I heard is the dead body of a human that some part of his body is eaten by the species living in the place. But some didn’t believe it because the person died is left at night and is seen during a day. How ridiculous is it.
There are some news I heard that this spring is connected to “NASULI SPRING” that this spring is located at Newlife Bangcud, Malaybalay City. They also said the one reason of the connection of the spring is because of a mysterious fish. The head of this fish is in the” NASULI SPRING” and tail are in “MATIN-AO SPRING”. How terrible it is.
The “NASULI SPRING is one of the commonly known spring in Mindanao because of its ambiance that attracts peoples taste. It has also the amenity that looks like a lake or a deep ocean. This place is surrounded by many trees and has a peaceful surrounding. But in some point this place also has a history that is known about. Way back when I was in high school some story I’ve heard about this spring from my classmate who are living in this place. That this spring with its bountiful beauty made by nature has a mysterious story behind it. As I was heard one of the divers who study this place has died. They says that the diver heard that there’s someone who’s calling his name and asking for help. Then he dives into the water to save a child according to them. But sad to say it’s one of the tricks of an enchantress to him to get his attention and take his life.
