English 14/ Literature 12 (Literatures of the World)

            Good day! The following is your guide on your assignments, projects and due dates. The due dates are yet to be negotiated when we meet each other in class as well as the groupings and the mechanics of the projects. This list is just to give you an idea ahead of what is to be asked from you and creativity for the rest of the semester. I hope this can guide you and this early notice can make your tasks and challenges a bit lighter. 

        I am glad to be spending my semester of learning World Literatures with you!

Assignments: For June 16-20, 2014
1         1.      Read the literary history of Greece.
2         2.  Read “Iliad”
3.                     3.   Prepare for a class discussion/recitation on Monday, June 16, 2014

Projects and Due dates:
1.                        1.  Create a comics/manga inspired by a/an:
                     a.     For AM2A; Egyptian legend;
                      b.     For AM2B; Scandinavian legend
                     c.      ASCHEM4; Romanian legend
*** This is to be done in a group of three.
                     DUE DATE: July16, 2014
2.                2. Prepare a one-act play on the epic part that will be assigned to you. 
                         Take  a video of  this and submit it on August 1, 2014.
3               3. Write an Acrostic. Place it in an 8x11.5 photopaper with your picture as                                                  the  background. (Individual)

4                 4. Prepare a dance drama in a group of seven. This is to be presented on 
                                        September 1, 2014.
